The book originates from about 1887 and this does seem to be it's original form, but there were later versions which might have included any additions written into it after the original publication date?

Like the other Tenjin shinyo ryu handbooks that we have been placing in the collection, this text is listed as being one of the actual documents of the school itself.

Happy us!! Scans of the text from a personal copy of Mr. Stephane Belbeze of the Judo Club of Beaugency, France have been graciously provided so that we can fill in the missing characters and missing pages evidenced in the Library version which we based this translation on. Thanks to him, the translation will be by far more complete.
